Hope and healing

| Prayer Request: | I am a single mother with a chronic genetic disease called lipedema. It went misdiagnosed for decades and advanced into lipolymphedema. I began treatments 2021, but these have been very costly, and I have had many complications since my disease went untreated for so long. It is a lonely, disfiguring, and debilitating disease. I have struggled a lot with depression, particularly over the past year, since my lipedema treatment journey has taken so many detours, and people who do not know about my disease can be quite cruel in their thinking about how I became so heavy and disabled. I am working very hard to turn my health around as much as possible, trying to accept that I may never look "normal," but I aim to live a better life to be the mom my daughter needs. Reclaiming my health is something I work on daily, and it, along with my disability has crowded out my time for work and making a living to support myself and my daughter. I am praying for healing and direction. There are too many days that I wish I was not here, but I stay for my child. I worry a lot about affording basic bills, and I find it very difficult to enjoy life when simple daily tasks have become such a struggle, physically. I know there must be a way to live better and do what I was meant to do. I want to get back to living again, and back to supporting myself and my daughter without so much stress and fear. I aim to live in a way to at least make my disease more manageable 🙏and I aim to get better to help others like me. |
